We've supported 45 charitable projects benefitting children and their communities. We've donated more than £1 million, as well as 6,336 hours of staff time, and 9,188 kilogrammes of clothing and shoes.
A NOTE FROM THE FAMILY BEHIND CHILDRENSALON
Being a family business is special to us. And treating people like family is one of our core values. It's a philosophy passed down from the previous generations who helped build Childrensalon into what it is today and it’s something we try to live in all our interactions and also more broadly by giving back to communities locally and abroad. We’re proud to be able to carry on this family legacy and help create more opportunities for children and the communities they live in.

Launched as part of our 70th anniversary, the Childrensalon Foundation is on a mission to create more opportunity for more children and their communities. By supporting charities close to home and around the world, the Foundation unites our longstanding philanthropic initiatives for maximum impact and helps make the world a safer and brighter place for children today and tomorrow.

Local community action.
We are proud to be a founding member of Amplifi Collective, a group of local businesses working together with support from the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council to share knowledge and tools to help accelerate climate action and offer more support for local charities in Kent.
Our fundraising team.
Our dedicated fundraising team helps our core charities organise fundraising events; they mobilise our 600-person workforce to volunteer in the local community; and they work with local authorities and community organisations to distribute quality clothing, footwear, and toys to charities and families in need around the country.
Spotlight on Nourish
Nourish serves our local community, delivering emergency food and supplies to people in crisis. Each year they deliver to more than 17,000 people — nearly half of which are children — and work to connect those in need with other organisations to find long-term solutions to improve their lives.
We’ve supported Nourish since 2015. Today, our Foundation makes regular monthly donations, and the Childrensalon team organises additional fundraisers to purchase holiday gifts and warm holiday meals that we hand-deliver to local families and homeless shelters referred through Nourish and their collaborators.
Spotlight on Porridge & Pens
This small but mighty charity is working to break the cycle of poverty in rural Ghana. In communities where family income averages less than £1.50 a day, Porridge & Pens offers quality education and nutritious meals to over 400 young people, also supporting many of their families with safe shelter and dignified employment.
The Childrensalon Foundation supports Porridge & Pens with regular monthly donations; and team fundraisers like bake-offs, marathons, and dragon boat races raise additional funds. Our support has helped build a permanent home for their Girl Power and Brighter Futures projects, and provided a school bus and fleet of 40+ bicycles.
